Blog 39 Yesterdays Rant

Blog 30

So yesterday I had a mini rant.

A report has basically been published stating that we are fat because we don’t eat within the normal allocated times for example 12 – 2 pm.

This literally had me laughing at first while they were explaining this on the radio and having a minor discussion about it.

The best part was at the end the DJ stated ” I think its got more to do with the amount we eat rather than the time we eat!”. There was literally no reply, just silence.

Huge high five to that DJ!! I like that DJ call utter BS on this theory.

The reason we are fat or that there is so much of an epidemic of obesity going on around us isn’t because of the time we eat, its because quite simply we eat too much for the level of activity our bodies does.

The good old calories in and calories out analogy. If you eat more than required for your daily needs your going to gain!

Now diet Ive talked about before and to be perfectly honest do we as general population (this means not athletes) lets run with normal people who just want to lose some body fat and be stronger and happier in our skin need to worry about macros. I would say no not to begin with. We need to worry about water, calories in and consistency with the training and the previous two factors, Once established and progress begins or lets say progress isn’t made then sure then we can look at macros.

This been said, with all my clients, online and face to face, we set calories and macro boundaries from the off, but I want my client to learn whats what. I want them to know how much to eat to gain, maintain and lose. I don’t want you to be dependant on me for the rest of your training days. If that happens, personally I feel like I’m just stringing you a long and not giving you the relevant knowledge that everyone should have. (Opinion by the way)

Thats it for now going to discuss more about diets tomorrow as it seems so popular at the moment
