Blog 49 Comfort Zone
So this one actually really sucks in hindsight. But its so worth it.
Ive had a plan since January and Ive made incredible gains and finally starting to see progress with the body fat decreasing and bodyweight decreasing consistently!!
Well, the new phase I just started incorporates chains which just absolutely fries you entire body!!
On top of that at the end of the first week (this weekend just gone) I had the opportunity to visit my old place of work where I found my true motivation and drive to continue pushing and furthering my career and personal development!
I love the fact I am able to go back and tap back into the expertise they have there.
Well this weekend they ran a Body Composition weekend. I ended up in a group with two other PT’s and a good friend Llion. The minute I saw llion I knew I was gonna have an amazing weekend because he like me is actually insane and just strives to inflict pain and anguish on his body as much as possible!! (my type of person!)
On top of the the weekend consisted of 7 sessions in total from the Friday evening to the Sunday afternoon!!
In short it was bloody mental, and I was meant to be doing a leg session with chains today but I can’t even sit on the toilet without feeling lie my quads are tearing from my damn body! I can scratch my head because my biceps and triceps cramp at the same time (yes i actually have biceps believe it or not!!)
I knew it was going to hurt, I knew I wanted to hurt. I knew I wanted to be taken out of my comfort zone and have my training routine not only pummelled but have my limits and new found strength tested!!
My god has it paid off!! I started the weekend at 83.6 kgs on my scales (84.6 on theres /20 mins different between weighting = this is why scales suck and are unreliable)
Going to see what its like tomorrow to see how its gone. I am partially expecting a gain, due to not only the amount of work we did but due to the amount of stress that was induced on the body!!
Up or down progress is progress! Lets get back to it!
Coach, Casper I am ready for you in three weeks!!
