Strength Qualities
As eluded to the other day theres four strength qualities
RS = Relative Strength = 1 – 5 reps
FH = Functional Hypertrophy = 6 – 8 reps
H = Hypertrophy = 9 – 12 reps
SE = Strength Endurance = 13+ reps
The most sought after ones that I deal with are individuals wanting fat loss.
Where most would be correct in thinking, ok so they stay between the FH/H reps range Im not saying you can never go below or above.
Yes the CLIENTS GOAL always comes first but depending on the training age of the individual, how long they have been with you and what phase they are in assists in giving the strength coach/pt more flexibility within programme design.
The downside to this is that is can take up a lot of time designing and programming but if you love it quite simply it gets done!
I thoroughly enjoy all the possibilities and at the same time I know its going to provide a lot of diversity for the client. Its going to provide steady progression with an improved chance of just steady rises in performances and also its not going to blow the clients nervous system when I get the chance to undulate the reps and intensities between phases.
