Blog 48 Unsatisfactory Sessions

How do you even judge a session? On the amount you sweat?

More to the point, how do you judge a session and your personal performance as unsatisfactory or shit, when you have gone out to purposely hire a Coach to train you?

We go out and hire Coaches because they should be S.M.E’s in the field (Subject Matter Expert). I am far from considering myself an SME. I feel this way because I can never afford to stop learning. The human race won’t ever stop evolving. The industry won’t stop evolving either.

I pride myself on what I do and how I train clients. I pride myself on the fact I haven’t actually killed one in a long time. I pride myself on making sure I’m constantly bringing new tools and tricks to the table.

A few of my clients, sometimes talk to me at the end and remark that they think they had a shit session or performed poorly. I want to just take the time to bring to your attention some of the things that should be considered before you make this remark:

How much sleep you have had?

Whether you have eaten the right food or pure shite?

Did the weights go up each set?

Did you complete the workout?

Did the Coach at any point say he/she was disappointed with your performance?

These are just a few of the criteria that should be considered before you batter your mentality into the ground. Theres enough people in our day and age that puts us down that we don’t need to add to it

(** oh and those people who do put you down, don’t get all bent up over them, they are jealous FACT and you heard it here first!!)

So just relax and hit each session without a doubt in your damn mind that its more that what a lot of other people are doing right now. Give it your all, and realise that no workout is a bad workout.
