Info Overload 2
Yesterdays post finished with a statement about time and programming and how long to be on one.
A lot of people who start programmes either stop before enough time has been given to see results, or they stop due to injury because it can be too much for them too soon. Sometimes though people can get comfortable and stay on programmes too long meaning that adaptations happened and no more will come about until something else changes.
Now theres a lot of ways to change and make something more effective again.
Picture it, you have found a coach, literally your first phase is sent, you are sent a base calorie intake to start trying to hit and the sessions begin that Monday (every starts on Mondays).
2 weeks in and you barely noticed physical changes and you ask the questions that biting at you, when can I expect to see more??
(Sorry Coach thats me too!!)
No right or wrong answer, its a process. We need to establish patterns, we need to see how your body adjust to been consistent with training and food.
Ideally, we as Coaches want people to change as quick as poss but thats not always whats best for the Client purely because they haven’t learnt enough in order to maintain or progress.
I always aim to find out an individuals Calories for loss, maintenance and gain. Goes what it takes longer than 4 weeks to do that.
At the same time, you are asking more of your body that what you have before depending on the Coach and the programme you have been supplied. With all this in mind you do need to adopt a FIND and FEEL approach rather than been so focussed on the potential of instantaneous results.
