Blog 44 ‘Joking Weight’
Actually this had me stumped, in a state of laughter and actually provided a new perspective!!
So we have all been here. We start seeing results, and then we have a family occasion or holiday come up. We then persist in getting on the scales the following monday morning following said event, see that the weight has jumped up and then think we have ruined all the hard work.
So immediately yo get back on everything double hard, some people even make the mistake of ditching and restricting calories to an all time low, when what they should actually do is drink water, get back to what they wee doing routine and just let the process happen.
At the end of the day when this does happen its good to think of this jump in weight as JOKING weight. I prefer joking to false weight because by Wednesday/Thursday you will be back to where you were if not lower. When we do have a blow out or come off diet we tend to naturally consume more salt because most fast foods, pub food etc, all have higher levels in it. Well, salt in turn makes us retain more water/fluid for a start.
So in short, if you have a blow out weekend, ensure just to get back to normal as best you can. Don’t do anything drastic, just think on the weekend, put it behind you, and push on and drive forward to get the best damn results you can!!
