Perhaps one of the most overlooked aspects of been a PT/Strength Coach etc is some presume that once they have the qual thats them set!

Truth of the matter is, quite simply its not. If you don’t keep learning, find a direction and a mentor then don’t expect to be successful and fulfilled as your likely going to just end up do the same sessions, or even worse spend most of the sessions just chatting utter shit to your client!

I have a Mentor who keeps on top of me and keeps me focussed. Some PT’s I know think thats a bad thing or a sign of weakness or uncertainty about what your doing. Where in fact its the complete opposite. It shows that your willing to spend money and invest in yourself to deliver the best possible service to all your clients.

I don’t think having a Coach is negative at all, its what gives me more drive to improve myself and to constantly better myself. Now I don’t hunt for perfection purely because I’m scared that what happens once its achieved. How do you improve, how do you maintain that, how to you get better.

So for me the concept of perfection can stay well away. I just want to deliver good quality service,

i want to deliver results

i want to help people feel happier in their own skin again!

So Coaches, should we have coaches hell yes!!

If you currently have a Coach ask yourself, do they talk through your session when your paying them to work you or are they working you hard! and i don’t just mean for 1 set or the last 5 minutes of a session. Then ask if they have continued any form of further education that year..

If not chances are they are playing at this game.
