Blog 74 Ive stopped growing but my calories are perfect?

I didn’t give a lot yesterday so I thought I would do a follow up.

Lets set the scene (I love these ones!!)

So you got yourself in good shape, you know your calories and macros to a T but you have stopped seeing progress.

Things to ask yourself

1, How much more progress do you want?

2, Decide on a goal.

Things to consider: How long has it been since you changed your methods?

How long has it been since you changed calories etc up?

WE all fall into this trap and very rarely do we consider changing the calories side of life because we think we have found what works for us etc. Sure rule of thumb this should be the case however, if we don’t expose our body to change somewhere it will be adapted and therefore the 250g carbs you normally manage won’t be managed as well. Then you will go back to doing what you did before training wise and see no change or less because we have already used this method and programme.

The easiest thing to change would be the exercise and training stimulus as for a lot of the people understanding calories is a bloody nightmare.

But

For those that think they know they’re nutrition its likely going to be a case of just tweaking it slightly here or there for a few weeks. Up protein by 20/30g, drop carbs 40/50g and increase fats by 15g etc and so on **these are random numbers don’t read into them just needed an example.**

Whatever you do though remember its not long term it needs to be changed up and 3 to 4 weeks.
